Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our DNA jewelry

Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our creations, the DNA preservation process and our guarantees.

How long is the DNA preserved once inside the jewelry?
Based on current accelerated aging studies, the DNA is still preserved after more than one hundred years.
Is this process legal?
According to the legal study carried out regarding French legislation, the implementation of human DNA preservation activities from saliva, for emotional or authentication purposes as provided by SIGNATURE ADN, owner of the DEUXBRINS brand, is not considered a prohibited activity in France. However, SIGNATURE ADN declines all responsibility in the event of access by a third party to the DNA preserved in the brand's jewelry.
How can I be sure that all the DNA sent has been used in my jewel or destroyed?
This information is specified in the general terms and conditions of sale. The minimum quantity of DNA preserved in each eternity fragment is stated in the certificate of authenticity provided with every creation.
If I lose my jewelry, can the DNA be extracted without my knowledge?
The DNA you entrust to us is placed in a case made hermetic by the assembly process developed by Deuxbrins, which protects access to it. Any inappropriate attempt to access the DNA preserved in the case would damage the DNA on the capsule and prevent its analysis. Moreover, extracting DNA from the medium on which it is preserved requires specific laboratory equipment and the implementation of a technical protocol mastered exclusively by Deuxbrins and its partners.
Can non-human DNA be preserved?
The answer is yes. We can preserve DNA of animal origin. You can therefore preserve human or animal DNA within the same jewel. To carry out a saliva collection on an animal, please contact us beforehand.
Can several DNA samples be preserved on the same capsule?
The answer is yes. We can preserve up to 10 distinct DNA samples on the same capsule. However, this requires a special request via the contact form.
Can DNA be preserved from a person or animal who has already passed away?
The answer is yes. From a personal object that belonged to this person or animal, we can extract DNA without altering the object and preserve it on our capsule. This also requires a special request via the contact form in order to assess feasibility, particularly regarding the relevance of the object.
